"Is Mooresville NC a good place to live?" Mooresville is a fast-growing lakeside town about 30 miles north of Charlotte, often called “Race City USA” for its deep ties to NASCAR and motorsports. With a population around 52,000, it balances small-town charm with access to big-city amenities. Life here centers around Lake Norman, where boating, fishing, and waterfront dining are part of everyday life. Families are drawn to top-rated schools, safe neighborhoods, and plenty of parks and trails.
